That's what our Heritage Collection is about.
We’ve been around since 1948, and have the design archives to prove it.
If you like classic winter boots infused with Canadian heritage but built for real Canadian winters, then look no further.
We’ve updated our Heritage Collection with the most iconic boots in our design archives from the past 50 years.
Original Pillow Boots
Most Canadians will recognize our Pillow Boots.
First made in 1976, these have become a iconic boot – more than 8 million pairs have been sold in Canada!
(Bonus points if you wear them with the tongue out)
There’s also some new Fall-Winter 2019 additions to our Heritage Collection.
Duncan Suede Shearling Boot
There’s getting some strong Stevie Nicks vibes in this one.
The Duncan is an updated version of an original Cougar style that was first produced in the early 90s.
The shaft fully lined with warm shearling wool, and has these beautiful wooden toggles running up the back of the shaft.
Durand Leather Boot
The Durand is made with our gorgeous Cask leather, which gives it a real vintage vibe.
It’s deep and rich, with a waxy look and feel that oozes character. The colour improves with distress – scuffs wear off quickly and develop a beautiful patina over time.
This means that no two pairs will look the same!
It also features a fur trim collar for extra warmth!
Dylan Suede Shearling Boot
Inspired by a pair of vintage Italian hiker boots from the mid-80s, wearing the Dylan is like wrapping your foot in a pillow.
Like the Duncan, the shaft is lined with shearling wool, and is temperature rated to -24°C/-11°F.
The D-ring lace tabs, wedge heel and almond shaped toe give this boot a real European flair—perfect if you’re looking for something a little different.
Always Waterproof & Temperature Rated
All the boots in our Heritage Collection are made with our waterproof leather, and are cold-temperature rated down to -24°C/-11°F.
That means they will keep your feet warm and dry, whatever the weather.
No more cold, wet feet when you walk through wintery slush!
Surviving Toronto winters
“My Dylan Shearling Boots really check all my boxes when it comes to buying LESS but buying BETTER. They are comfy AF (honestly it feels like wearing slippers with the shearling lining),they get the job done, and I have yet to slip and fall down. They’re durable, warm and I don’t feel like I’m walking around in a chunky worker’s boot that feels like a brick on my feet.”
Dressing for winter weather
“These new Pillow Boots from Cougar have been my go-to. They are insanely comfortable, retro-inspired, have just a hint of red in the lining, and really kick up my winter outfit game!”
Keeps feet cozy
“This Paige Leather Ankle Boot has a super comfortable fleece lining for more insulation. Made from Iceland leather, this boot has a rugged appearance but still manages to feel soft.
These are great for winter hikes and basically any winter outdoor activities.”
If you want a vintage look with the benefits of modern footwear technology, look no further.
