Meghan in New York breaks out the rain booties and leggings for walking around town.

Actress and fashion enthusiast Meghan grew up on the eastern end of Long Island. Currently acting across the USA in Broadway musicals, she tried a pair of our Kensington Rain Booties in-between shows.
What’s your earliest memory of caring about how you dressed?
Third grade. I would go clothing shopping with my Mom and sister. There was nothing I enjoyed more than piecing outfits together. I LOVED shopping and being different. I didn't care if my friends at school would make fun of the two buns on top of my head; or my pink leopard leggings. My senior year of high school I won the award for Best Dressed – fun fact, I never repeated an outfit.
What’s the biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made?
A pair of pink velvet pants... Oops?!
You have $500 to spend on your wardrobe. What do you buy?
I love getting a ton of things for my money and mixing luxury with affordable pieces. The more options the better! I'd rather spend $500 on a few full outfits than on one Gucci belt. Just my personal preference.
What trend (that everyone loves) do you hate?
Belt bags. I am just not a fan of them. Something about the belt bag throws off an outfit. I think it can be distracting.
What’s the most important style item to invest in?
I like to have one amazing pair of denim jeans. Once you find the pair that makes you look and feel good, the rest of your outfit will fall into place.
There are definitely a few other staple pieces that I think are important to invest in, such as a leather jacket, suede jacket, Gucci belt, Chelsea boots, over the knee boots and a statement bag.
Tell us something about yourself that people are usually surprised to hear.
Something about me that you may not know is that I am a Musical Theatre performer. I actually am currently playing a role in the musical Evita, and travel regionally to perform. Theatre and acting have always been my main focus and career.
