“Fall fashion will always be my very favorite. I just scored this GORGEOUS pair of new boots from Cougar and I’m so pumped to tell you about them. When I first spotted them on Cougar’s site, I knew that they had to come and live in my closet. I’m pretty picky when it comes to boots, but these surpassed my expectations. They are also waterproof, rated for -11°F, and are memory molded inside. Basically just heaven wrapped around your feet!”
What’s your earliest memory of caring about how you dressed?
Kindergarten! Growing up I was the only girl in my family so my mom always made it really fun to go back to school shopping with me. I remember exactly what I was wearing on the first day of Kindergarten and how sad I was when I got a run in my tights on the playground!
What’s the most annoying thing about clothes shopping in 2018?
Sizing is all over the place. A medium at one store is an extra small at another.
I really wish sizing was more universal across clothing brands.
What trend (that everyone loves) do you hate?
I cannot stand the 'dad sneaker' trend that's all the rage right now. They are just so bulky looking. I definitely can't get on board with them but that's the beauty of fashion, you don't have to love every single thing.
What did you wear to your last date-night?
I wore a salmon colored dress, my trusty black leather jacket, and block heels with a fun print on them. Getting dressed up for a night on the town with my husband is my favorite occasion to dress for!
What’s the biggest change in the way you’ve shopped for clothes?
I've switched my mindset to wanting quality over quantity.
I would much rather only have a few nice pieces, then lot's of poorly made items. If you invest in your wardrobe, it'll last you a lot longer.
Tell us something about yourself that people are usually surprised to hear.
I am a huge golfer!
I even played on my high school golf team and won two state championships. It's still one of my favorite hobbies and just about the only thing I can beat my husband at.
What’s the most important style item to invest in?
Definitely shoes. They don't go out of style as fast and comfort is very important. Sacrificing comfort for style just isn't worth it to me.
Invest in your shoes before any other piece in your wardrobe.
