We asked the Michigan-based student and fashion blogger all about her personal style, and why she loves our rain boots for Spring.
What’s your earliest memory of caring about how you dressed?
I would say probably middle school? My mom always dressed me cute in elementary but when it came to middle school I picked out my own stuff and had my own style.
What’s the biggest mistake people make when shopping for clothes?
Shopping for a single occasion or reason. I am guilty of this too, buying something only for one purpose! You have to go in with the mindset of more than just one outfit, and what you can wear for a long time and love!
What’s the biggest change in the way you’ve shopped for clothes?
Investing in more expensive pieces I will wear for a long time, and that are good quality instead of buying a ton of cheap stuff I will only wear a time or two.
What’s the most annoying thing about clothes shopping in 2018?
When you find something you absolutely love and it is not available in your size! This just happened to me the other day when I found both shirts and shoes I loved but they only had a few select sizes in stock.
What’s the most important style item to invest in?
SHOES! They really do pull an outfit together and are a super important statement piece.
What made you buy the Kensington's you're wearing?
They're waterproof, which is perfect for people like me struggling with nasty winter weather every other day, but still light enough to wear on warmer sunny days too.
The memory molded insoles are also a huge plus. I have always had a hard time finding cute shoes that aren’t painful to wear, so I won’t be taking these bad boys off.
Who is your current style icon?
