I have a few ski trips planned this season and I was in desperate need of some cute boots for the trips. I picked out two different styles, one that has a slight wedge and faux fur with red laces that is perfect for daytime wear, and a black high top style boot, that I love for a casual night time look.
What’s your earliest memory of caring about how you dressed?
I was 5 and in kindergarten. I loved dressing myself; I wore tons of color and layers.
Where do you go to clothes shop?
For basics I use Everlane, Vivice and Nation LTD. For big ticket items it's Barneys or Neiman Marcus
You have $500 to spend on your wardrobe. What do you buy?
I’m all about quality versus quantity these days. I’d buy a nice pair of denim, silk top and great pointy toe flats – all about the essentials.
What’s the biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made?
Probably wearing those harem pants that were trendy a few years back, even though they looked awful on me.
You have a time machine. What time and place do you travel to just for the clothes?
The 1920s and 1930s because women always dressed up and looked elegant. My current style icon is Grace Kelly.
Share one piece of style advice you’d give to a younger version of yourself.
Less is more and always stay true to classic pieces rather than trends. Also, a great pair of heels and a nice handbag will elevate any outfit.
What did you wear to your last wedding, and your last job interview?
The last wedding I attended was in the mountains last month – Dark green dress, black fur, black heel and black envelope. I also do interior design so my last job interview was casual. Jeans, tee and ballet flats.
