How does a fashion model keep warm in winter? Our natural hide winter boots are put to the test in the snowy Rocky Mountains.
You have a time machine. What time and place do you travel to just for the clothes?
The 70s would be great for obvious reasons – fashion references that era regularly and it never seems to get old.
However, the time I would really love to go back to is the 20s. There is something romantic about the style of that time, and everything I see from that era I wish I could get away with now.

What’s the biggest mistake people make when shopping for clothes?
They don’t try them on. People assume that the way something looks on the hanger is the way it will look on the body, but this cannot be further from the truth. Some of my favourite pieces are those I would have walked away from if I hadn’t taken the time to try them on.
What’s the most annoying thing about clothes shopping in 2018?
Online shopping is great but so many shoe brands use different sizing standards and you never know what size you need without trying the shoes on. I can be anywhere from a 7 to a 9 which means I sometimes have to order three pairs just to find the right size. Being in Canada means returns are a giant pain in the butt, I don't want to be paying the same for shipping as the shoes cost but sometimes there's just no way around it.
“These Peri Natural Hide Winter Boots not only passed every practical test of a good winter boot (soft, warm, great grips to prevent slipping and waterproof) but are also easy on the eyes... You don’t have to sacrifice style for function any longer.”

What trend (that everyone loves) do you hate?
Right now, the Dior saddle bag. I never liked the shape of that bag, yet they are trying to push it down our throats so hard online. I don't like to feel like I'm being brain washed to like or buy something.
If you could bring one past trend back from the dead, what would it be?
A few years ago I would have said Western wear, but it seems the fashion world has really embraced it which I absolutely LOVE! I'm going to keep pushing for that trend though because I feel like the general public still needs to be convinced.
What’s your earliest memory of caring about how you dressed?
High School. I was definitely a late bloomer. My parents generally dressed me during childhood (though I know there were times I requested a random pink crushed velvet mini skirt or a giant tutu), but once I started modeling I discovered the world of fashion and started caring more and more. When I was in high school the leg warmer trend resurfaced for 5 minutes and I wore them to school one day, next week every girl had them! That's where I realized that what I wore actually mattered and had an impact, so I really dove in after that.

What’s the most important style item to invest in?
Shoes and bags. These are the items that will surpass trends, and can be worn in many different ways with different looks for different vibes. A good pair of shoes is so important because you are on your feet for a very big part of the day, you want to be comfortable, and there is nothing worse than having your feet hurt. I've been there too many times to make that mistake again.
What is the most underappreciated item in a woman’s wardrobe?
Hats. People don't like to wear hats for some reason but there are times an outfit is just not complete without one. A hat can change the whole look of an outfit. It frames the face and when it's made well it will even make you feel confident.
